Organizing a Parents Forum Chapter
Individual parents and community leaders in any sector—government, social services, health care, education, business, faith communities, juvenile justice and corrections—are invited to create a Parents Forum chapter in their city or town. A parent group or agency purchases an annual license to offer workshops and Parents Forum provides curriculum materials. Parents Forum will train volunteers to present Parents Forum workshops and organize other program activities. A modest license fee is charged and the cost shared among parents in the group. If the host agency (or grant) pays the license fee, individual participants are not charged. We will be happy to work with you!
Community partners are able to purchase copies of program handbook Where the Heart Listens at a reduced price. Other benefits include free use of DVDs in the Parents Forum library, including Consuming Kids: The Commercialization of Childhood produced by the Media Education Foundation.
