Community-Based Activities

Program Coordinators

Try out the Parents Forum approach with your group by offering a one-time workshop for a modest fee, in person or online. If you like it, inquire about licensing our curriculum on an annual basis.

  • Our introductory mini-workshop “How To Tell Somebody Something They’d Rather Not Hear” can engage up to 30 people in a half-hour timeframe.
  • The full workshop for parents “Come Share Your Strength” and for youth “Learning What We Live” takes about two hours with a break for refreshments.

Other events in the Parents Forum menu of activities are Book and Toy Exchanges, Charm School and Playroom Makeovers as well as participation in crime prevention and safety fairs and in conferences on parenting and family life in the community. A regular monthly discussion group could take one question in the Parents Forum Agenda as its focus.

Please let us know what your parent / school / youth or home-schooling group is doing and how we can help you!

Our Book

Giving tangible form to our twenty-five years of effort, Where the Heart Listens chronicles the program’s development and guides readers through thoughtful examination of eight original questions about family life issues. It orients human resources staff and team leaders to emotional awareness, the core of our program. The extensive list of resources will be useful to employee assistance professionals. More About The Book »
